Thailand’s Best Beaches

      ‘A sight for sore eyes’

The first reason why most tourists choose to holiday in the Kingdom of Thailand is its heavenly beaches. Those tourists who travel to Thailand from other parts of the world should really not miss out on the opportunity to soak up at least one of the beaches of Thailand on their visit. Not surprisingly, because of the beauty and uniqueness of Thailand beaches they are world famous!

 Thailand’s Beaches What to Expect

Many areas and islands are the territory of the national parks, so the nature of these places remains virtually untouched by man. At different times of the year on the Thailand beaches are camera crews shooting the famous cinema beach scenes you will see in the future and even TV commercial beach scenes. It should be noted that all of the beaches in the country are mainly sandy, so no hopping over large pebbles to get to the water’s edge!

Due to the fact that Thailand has quite a long coastline and many islands, the choice of beaches here is very large. Each tourist can choose the beach that matches their requirements. On the mainland resorts beaches are common. The beaches are very crowded, and used for recreational purposes by both tourists and local Thais. Usually in the afternoon, beaches are lined with deck chairs and tables that each tourist can take on the beach a very small amount of for an unlimited time. Walk along the beach and vendors can be found offering tourists fruit, snacks, souvenirs and even a sun lounger. Also on the beach often is offered a traditional Thai massage or an invitation to their tattoo parlors for henna body painting or drawing of the tattoo.

The sand on the city beaches is normal, not shallow. Sometimes the odd piece of rubbish may appear, but in the evenings all the beaches are cleaned thoroughly. The water is always warm, but not very clear. By evening the beds are cleaned, the shoreline moves out to sea and becomes a little clearer, and the coastline becomes wider and more spacious. Along the beach there are street carts with fruit and vendors preparing and selling food. Thai families and tourists come ashore to dine .Local kids run along the beach, offering tourists to buy ‘Sky Lanterns’ to release into the night sky.. The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing.

Six of the Best’ – Beaches in Thailand

But still, those tourists who wish to find perfect Thailand beaches with ideally pure sand with crystal clear water are usually going to travel to the islands, as some of the islands can be easily, quickly and inexpensively accessed by local boat taxi’s. On the islands you can find very diverse beaches. There are also beaches that are noisy, crowded, with many shops and cafes where you can have fun both day and night. But there are also quieter beaches with secluded coves and bays, where you can feel hidden from prying eyes. To understand the beauty and diversity of a beach holiday, please read on to discover the best beaches at some of the most popular resorts in Thailand.

Thailand Beaches: Pattaya

In the popular resort town of Pattaya has several beaches, which stretch one after the other along the coast of the Gulf of Thailand: Pattaya Beach, Jomtien, Hat Toei Ngam, Hat Nang Rong, Chomthian, Wong Phra Chan, Dongtan, Hat Thian Tail Nang and Hat Ram.Pattaya Beach is located in the central part of town, along a busy street, where there are shopping centers, markets and a rich nightlife. Therefore, this beach is the most populous in Pattaya, you can meet all kinds of people from all over the city and country there. Jomtien Beach is located just south and is also quite popular. But this beach is noticeably cleaner, and one can have an especially pleasant walk along the beach in the evenings. The Other beaches mentioned above are located on the outskirts of the city or close to them and are the most calm and clean throughout Pattaya. Some of them are protected and have an entrance fee.

Thailand Beaches: Hua Hin

The beaches of Hua Hin are called royal, and it’s not by accident. Back in the 1920′s the King of Thailand Rama VII began construction of his residence at Hua Hin.  Ever since the beauty of the beaches in Hua Hin have been admired. Today, the royal family of Rama IX likes to relax on the shores of the resort. Hua Hin is famous for its wide and clean beach (Hua Hin Beach). The tourists who want to feel the spirit of a beach holiday and to review the attractions of the country and its capital Bangkok love to visit this beach. This resort has easy access to all major tourist routes that it has no detriment to the quality of a beach holiday in Hua Hin.

Thailand Beaches: Southern end of Lamai Beach, Koh Samui

Lamai Beach on the island of Koh Samui perfectly combines all the charm of a beach and outdoor activities. There’s always something to do besides sunbathing. Clean coastline with beautiful sea water, extreme entertainment and fun evening activities All this makes the beach of Lamai one of the most popular destinations of tourists on the island of Samui.

Thailand Beaches: Koh Samet Island

Samet Island is loved by tourists because of its tropical and green park beaches. The most popular of them are located in the eastern part, Hat Sai Kaew  and Ao Hin Khok. The beaches have gorgeous white sand, clear warm sea, and along the beach, restaurants and bars are located. More wild beaches are in the southern part of the island.

Thailand Beaches: Koh Chang Island

Koh Chang Island has a wide variety of beaches, each with its own distinctive character. There are wild and totally deserted beaches and also very popular beaches, where people go to relax, not only for tourists but also locals. The best beach on Koh Chang is the White Sand Beach. Its popularity does not prevent it from looking like a pristine beach of the jungle, which is what makes it so special. See for your

Thailand Beaches: Krabi Province

Krabi Province, in my opinion, is the best place for the wild beach holiday. Why do I call this a wild beach holiday – Because this is where people rest on towels or on the sand it is a back to basics beach resort. Many beaches of Krabi do not have fully equipped beach areas with sun loungers and umbrellas. However, it is in Krabi that you will find the best places for privacy. There are three very beautiful beaches that are well worth a visit they are Railay Beach (East and West), Phra Nang Beach and  Koh Poda Beach
